Hold Lawmakers Accountable for Their Decisions
The Illuminated Federal Budget project (IFB) seeks to increase transparency and accountability in our political processes. Our purpose is to generate a community-built legislation database. The database allows for tracking items of interest to the community. Using social networks, we will tie each submitted issue to the author's identity and reputation.
Leverage Social Networking Sites through Open Standards
We want to make it easy for people to participate in this discussion/process. A part of this initiative is the creation of a social networking open standard. This will allow users of existing social networking sites to participate in the IFB social network and community using their current identities.
